English<\/a> \/ Nederlands<\/a><\/p>\r\n \/ \u4e2d\u6587\u7248<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n This project is an attempt to \u2018design\u2019 a ritual that enables humans to \u2018talk\u2019 to viruses. In depth, it is an art, science, and design research for a human initiative towards viruses through inventing new perceptual interactions, physical movements and wearable induced embodiments in the format of a ritual\/performance. The aim of this ritual is to enable humans to initiate active (but safe) contact with viruses and through this reach a status where we feel comfortable to express our emotional responses towards these invisible viral entities.<\/span><\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n The ritual consists of two stages: hunting\/sampling and embodiment. The hunting\/sampling stage explores how we can sample the existence of the viruses both through our conscious and their physical existence. The embodiment stage explores the movements and actions that connect microscopic biological replications of viruses and the macroscopic weaving\/knitting through \u2018making.\u2019 The costume for the embodiment ritual is created with knitted fragments in the shape of SARS-CoV-2, including the proteins on the membrane of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the membrane itself. As an experiment of ways of communication with the virus, the performer will knit the parts together with her body and movements, and gradually transform from a human into a virus, carrying all our thoughts through chanting to salute the abstract, complex system existence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The project will culminate by the end of 2021 with two performances filmed in Den Haag and an exhibition in Taiwan .<\/span><\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n Dit project streeft ernaar om een ritueel te cre\u00ebren waarin mensen de ruimte krijgen om met virussen te communiceren.Het is een kunst, design en wetenschappelijk research project waarin we een manier cre\u00ebren om meer toenadering tot het virus te vinden. Dit doen we door waarneembare interacties, fysieke bewegingen en draagbare representaties in de vorm van een ritueel en deze zullen uiteindelijk vorm krijgen in een performance. Het doel van dit ritueel is om mensen de ruimte te bieden om actief (maar veilig) contact met virussen te hebben zodat er een situatie ontstaat waarbij we ons comfortabel voelen om onze emoties te uiten naar deze onzichtbare virale entiteiten. <\/span><\/p>\r\n <\/span><\/p>\r\n Het ritueel bestaat uit twee fases: zoeken\/verzamelen en de belichaming. <\/span><\/p>\r\n De zoek\/verzamel fase onderzoekt hoe we de aanwezigheid van de virussen kunnen vastleggen door ons eigen bewustzijn van het virus en het fysieke bestaan ervan. De fase van de belichaming onderzoekt het verband tussen de microbiologische replicaties van de virussen en het macroscopisch breien hiervan door te \u2018maken\u2019. De gebreide fragmenten worden gemaakt in de vorm van het SARS-CoV-2, en de eiwitten op het membraan van het SARS-CoV-2 virus. Deze breisels vormen samen het kostuum voor de performance. Als een communicatie experiment met het virus, zal de performer de gebreide fragmenten aan elkaar breien met haar lichaam en bewegingen. Langzaam maar zeker transformeert ze van mens naar virus.
